Jude Marleau

Registered Clinical Counsellor | M.Ed.

My Background

I have worked as a Clinical Counsellor in Victoria since 1996 and I have had the honour of witnessing the healing journeys and self-discoveries of many people.

I am a member in good standing with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), EMDR Canada and Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health (CPATH). I am registered with the BC Crime Victim Assistance Program to provide clinical counselling to victims of crimes. I am also currently enrolled in a two year training programme for Somatic (body focused) trauma Counselling.

I am the proud Mom of two young girls who teach me daily about the strength of vulnerability, the perils of persistence and the joy of living in the moment. I enjoy gardening, cooking and walking.

My Approach

I am always inspired by my clients’ resilience, strength and courage.

How I Can Help

My focus has been on helping people heal from the effects of trauma and PTSD. My areas of specialization include sexual violence/abuse (historical and recent), intimate relationship violence/abuse (including same sex abuse and women’s use of violence), family of origin issues, relationship issues, parenting, sexuality, and gender variance. I provide services to individuals, couples and groups. I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for those wanting to work through traumatic memories or experiences. I also provide hormone readiness assessments for the transgender community.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
